Jessica is built around couples caught in a moment that could turn either way.
Jessica series
Jessica shifts and stretches. She slips out of balance. Tenderness and conflict can exist in the same gesture. I like it when irony takes over.
Somehow, I want you to recognise the story. Perhaps because the roles are older than the people who play them. I also like to let another visual language enter the work, experimenting with Belgian comics — especially Tintin and Snowy.
The Jessica Series
All the works of the series side by side. Move left and right, and open any painting to see it large.

The irony is that a scene can linger. Each painting starts a film. Whether it is about you or me is another matter.
